Whenever you walk through the door here at Rider’s you will be greeted by a smiling face and someone who has the knowledge and expertise to help you make the perfect selection. Our staff has over 80 years of combined experience in the clothing business and we know how to treat our customers. More importantly we also know how a suit of clothes should fit. In addition to our staff, selection and service one of the key elements that makes coming to Rider’s such an experience is the history of our building. Originally built in 1836 and found on the National Historic Register, the Perry-Alvey Building has served many roles over the years. From an attorney’s home, to a boarding school, to spending 99 years as a funeral home until it’s purchase in 1979 to become the new downtown home of Rider’s Fine Traditional Clothing. This location is a rarity for a downtown business, having eighteen of its own parking spaces. Our customers can come in and shop at their leisure and not be pressured by any time constraints. Filled with antiques, you can sense our rich heritage and character as soon as you walk through the door. A visit to Rider’s is more than just a trip to the store; it is an experience in quality and style that is unparalleled throughout this region.
